Welcome to thewargos.com. It's a site I created right after the twins were born (November, 2003) and really struggled to update it with content. Originally I tried to post pictures and other interesting stuff, but it was really hard to keep up with it as we struggled to learn how to take care of newborn twins with no local family support.

The site was originally built using NetObjects Fusion and as cool as that tool was (it's not really that cool anymore) it was just too hard to do regular updates.

Feeling bad about how often I was updating it, I decided to use a Content Management System (CMS) to do regular updates. I selected an open source project called Nucleus CMS and used that for quite a while to do updates. I started using it as a Web Log (blog) in May, 2004 and used it for that purpose until January, 2009. You can access the original blog here.

In January, 2009 I decided to get away from the Nucleus CMS and migrated the blog to a WordPress blog which can be found here.

Recently I've fallen in love with Joomla! It's another open source project and it's a pretty cool CMS with a lot of great functions and thousands of plug-ins that can be added to the site. I'm officially migrating the site to this version, I'm not sure whether I'll be able to migrate the Nucleus and WordPress content in, but I'll keep trying.

I hope to add a comments section (which I had to delete because of all the spam I got from it) and some other cool features. We'll see what happens.
